Professional Coach & Consultant

Alani Bankhead is a career special agent having spent almost 20 years serving in the military, federal and state governments, and international non-profit spaces. Her career has included hunting terrorists in Iraq with special operations as a human intelligence operative, chasing spies in Asia, and being the senior bodyguard to a top Pentagon official. Having discovered her passion for protecting children almost 15 years ago, she has channeled all of those man-hunting and protection skills into creating proactive child protection operations across multiple continents. She created the Air Force’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force operations in Japan and has overseen trauma-informed child sex crimes investigations operations and host nation law enforcement training in Latin America.  Most recently, she did this as the creator and operations lead for Operation KEIKI SHIELD (Hawaii’s child enticement operation/”keiki” = “child” in Hawaiian) and Operation SHINE THE LIGHT (Hawaii’s missing and runaway foster child recovery operation) where she brought together 17 federal, state, local, and military law enforcement agencies together to work collaboratively in order to achieve extraordinary results no one agency could have achieved alone. Since 2017, she has been coaching, consulting, and speaking with individuals and teams on how they can create an environment of mission success, collaboration, and personal fulfillment within the context of their unique jurisdictions, personalities, and leadership styles through her company, Mighty Sparrow Coaching LLC.
