
Dr. Sharon Kahler
Director of Mental Health and Survivor Relations at Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative
Dr. Sharon Kahler is an expert in the field of mental health, and is the Director of Mental Health and Survivor Relations at Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative (ATII).
Dr. Kahler is Board Certified in Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and has over 10+ years of experience caring for the mental health needs of patients of all ages. Dr. Kahler received her Child and Adolescent Fellowship training at NYU Langone Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital, and completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, both in New York City where she gained experience treating a wide variety of mental illnesses, including PTSD and trauma-related diagnoses. Prior to residency training, Dr. Kahler received her MD from New York Medical College.Dr. Kahler brings a unique mental health perspective to the ATII team, and joining ATII has allowed her to expand her scope of impact to improve the lives of those who have been exploited in a broader sense. Additionally, Dr. Kahler continues to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to Child and Adolescent patients at community mental health clinics throughout South Carolina.
